Yes mike, i know...
I did mention in my previous post that i will entice you with curried chicken and bun.
Trust me, that post is coming up shortly and i thought of making a small detour of my compulsive optimistic behavior of mine to promote to y'll this gocerria which was recently opened in Nu Sentral, KL Brickfields. This shall be a baby post for today.
I am very proud to gloat and boast for being the first food marking pioneer that sibuk-ed when Nu Sentral mall had its first soft launch. Being the foodie i am, the very first week of its soft launching, i visited the following outlets; The Loaf, Jeneris By Ahren, Espresso Lab and Big Apple. (Also constantly checked if there is any new joint that opened). I'm not writing about any of this place because it doesn't fall into my eat for RM 50.00-Feeds 3 happily.
Work and studies eventually caught up with me and i had reduced my visit there. Last week, while i was heading back from my work place to KL Sentral to attend lectures, an advertisement in the LRT arrested my attention. Official opening of "Sam's Groceria"......i had to check it out! Which i did today and honestly after a stroll, i seriously and evidently feel its a decent supermarket that caters for the niche and expatriate market.
Its massive supermarket, i tell you that though.
I proceeded to check out the deli corner, nothing so impressive. D E L I.. apa ini mike? where is the Malaysian infused influence in it la? All i saw was just a wide spread of japanese cuisine and sad looking sandwiches, which was quite pricey for a small portion and after walking around, i rested my dinner plans on grocerria's daily deli joint.
And......i chose this,
A serving of Chicken Lasagna for my dad (RM 9.99) and a serving a of Lamb Lasagna (RM 9.99). Costing up too, RM 20.00 #. A 20% less pricier then the Deli.
Taste wise it was quite bland, i think it required loads of seasoning. It was cheap on the meat side, old canned tomato sauce after taste and i would probably buy it next time if i really had no other dinner avenues after lectures. 4/10.
Anyway, i suppose taste buds differs to tongue, one man's meat is another man's poison. Donr take my word for it, if you guys have tried food in the Deli or the Grocerria itself, please do share it with me. I would love to hear from you.
Up with the next post....
