Come on, im sure you guys couldn't agree less with me, meat is good, meat s great, meat is yummy!!! Right?
But i suppose there are some instances where you will be coaxed to be "vegetarian"? Happened to you? Yeah, happens to me all the time and you know what, being a Malaysian Indian, we have abundance of Banana Leaf Rice (BLR) outlets all over Malaysia and the typical "kedai mamak" and i tell u, im bored. Same old rice, vege, apallam and sambar.....
Then "she" came to my knowledge, like the col breeze in a hot summer day, The Ganga's Cafe, Bangsar right next to Hit & Mrs.
This is a fusion mix of Gujarati staple's with Malaysian cuisine. Worry not, you will not be totally lost in their food spread. When i first heard of them, i was equally skeptical too until i sinked my teeth into their yummy food.
I was told that this cafe was previously managed by some localites, until it changed management to Metha & Prabodh Sheth, both expatriates residing in Malaysia for almost thirty years now. Voila! The Ganga's Cafe - revamped
Also, they do offer all-you-can-eat spread which is only available on Sundays, 11am-3pm.
At other times, Ganga's serves an a la carte menu of fairly wide-ranging south Indian cuisine, including banana leaf rice, which is a really good thing because again i wasn't completely lost.
Alas, till today i never had the opportunity to savour their All-You-Can Eat Buffet (late Saturday Nights yeah).
Anyway, this is what we managed to grab for dinner one evening after work and this are the few yummy goodies that we sampled.

Thali Meal |
If you come here during lunch hour, which will be super packed every single day, you can either choose tomato rice, brown rice or white rice. Normally the tomato rice will finish by lunch. Hence, brown rice it was for us accompanied by three type of veges and curries. Great stuff. 7/10

It was a pleasant experience indeed dining in The Ganga's Cafe. If i get a meal day serving from Ganga's Cafe, everyday, damn i don't mind being a full on vegan. No seriously.....
The cost for all three of us with hot drink was only RM 33.50.
Which was first unbelievable and it was still under my RM 50.00 for three budget food hunt in this day of Malaysian economy. Balance money, apa lagi isi petrol la mike!
Anyway if you guys have been there before, share with me your experience with me ya? Let me know ok?
Carpe Diem!
